Parking and Traffic - Pezenas 

Planning and upgrading to motorway standard the Pezenas bypass – (A75) will start in September 2012 and will take two years, 

This work – costing € 45 million funded in full by the state, and will consist of widening the hard shoulder, improving transparency hydraulic (creation of additional works of art), the creation of 3 cofferdams, the door lock at the Grange des Prés, the creation of 17 ponds, the landscaping and the creation of 4 km of noise protection walls . 
Ultimately, this work will benefit Pezenas ease traffic congestion on the bypass, and enhance the local tourist attraction by the landscaping of city entries. 



Parking in the town: development of 100 additional parking on Francis Avenue Curée 

Annoncés lors de la fermeture du parking de délestage en entrée de ville, côté chemin bas de Montagnac, les travaux d’aménagement du parking dit « France Télécom » avenue François Curée vont commencer lundi 28 février. 

That's 100 additional parking spaces, free and in the heart of town, increasing the capacity from 70 to 170 places 

Three months of work, financed by the city of Pezenas amounted at a cost of €207 000, will be necessary for development of parking, which will eventually be landscaped to preserve the quality of life for residents. 

On existing green space, 16 trees will be felled and 30 kept but 43 additional trees will be planted and 1,000 shrubs and plants. 

It was necessary to create new parking spaces before starting the repair work on the rue Anatole France scheduled for autumn 2011, in order to alleviate the discomfort of residents and merchants.
