AWARENESS DRIVE - PEZENAS - 24th July. We need volunteers to help us with this please, we will be circulating in small groups around Pezenas with helium balloons and leaflets to help raise awareness, and recruit new members and supporters for CSFL.

Branch News – January

We are delighted to announce that CSF Languedoc became fully operational on 1st January after a 6 month preparation period. We now have a dedicated Helpline number

and a team of Active Listeners, Supporters and Translators from our group of volunteers.
They have all been superbly trained using the latest training methods.

We have been very lucky that through the efforts of the founder members and the help of the local press we have attracted a significant number of talented and dedicated members to make our association professional and active in a very short period of time.

Publicity is now key to ensure that anyone who needs our help knows how to find us. In addition to our members spreading the word through their contacts both social and medical, we are putting in action an initial wave of publicity. Posters and leaflets will be strategically placed in relevant places such as oncology centres, hospitals, doctors’ surgeries, etc… We will then continue to build awareness through a broader spread of publicity in as many places as possible, from supermarkets to tabacs. We already have adverts running in local English language publications and on websites servicing the local Anglophone community.

Our Fund Raising Team is also busy planning regular events throughout the year to gather the necessary funds and raise awareness about CSF Languedoc but also to create social occasions for all our members to enjoy and get to know each other better.

Some of the events planned for the year include:

Quiz night at Capestang;
‘Fish and Chip’ supper night;
Two Choral Concerts; Vide Étagère –
Sale near Roujan;
Wine tasting;
Christmas Lunch.
A monthly event - the last Sunday - Book Fair at Gabian [February to November inclusive].

You’ll also find us at various places throughout the year making ourselves known to you at Exhibitions and some local events and markets.
