Garrigae Plans ror Former Distillery Development in the "Real" South Of France

French Developer, Garrigae Investissements, specialists in renovating historical buildings into residential developments, has plans at ‘Les Templiers’, a former distillery development in Pézenas.

The historic distillery with a tower and castle-like façade was built at the end of the 19th century and originally consisted of two houses. In the 1940’s wine growers brought their lees and dregs to the distillery which made them into eaux-de-vie (spirits -70% and 90% alcohol) used for disinfecting and healing. In 1975, the operations were moved to Montagnac to save the distillery there from bankruptcy and the Pézenas distillery was used only for storage.
