Rehearsals are at the Académie de Musique in Lunel from 1300-1600 every Thursday.
We rehearse in English but the membership is international - French, American, Romanian, Serbian as well as English (so far!).
The choir is conducted by Philip Baxter. He says: “Chorale Franglaise aims to involve both French and English singers, men and women, in a repertoire of both sacred music and folk-songs, in languages including English, French and Latin, from the 16th to the 21st century. I believe singing should be at the same time an expression of the composer’s intentions and an expression of the performer’s enjoyment; striving towards achievable objectives and at the same time pursuing the highest possible standards.”
We're always looking for experienced singers, and we are singing with the Bach Choir in Montpellier on 4/5 June

Marseillan Historique- a lively local history group

Marseillan Historique is a legally established Association founded in late 2005.
It came about through the interest of two retired Britons who settled in Marseillan in 1990 and came to love the village’s tranquility and ancient charm.
They began to research the history of the village and were surprised to find that it is some 2,500 years old - possibly the oldest village in France.
It has also been the most important and best fortified port and village in the Languedoc!.
